In Veronika Durová's figural works, what they capture is of similar importance as what is missing from them, given our expectations. The author pays attention to a fragment of a human or animal figure, leaving us room to think about other contexts. The content eloquence of the detail and the way it is cut evoke the film language, although Durová works with purely classical sculptural means.
